Pick and pack fulfillment is the process of selecting individual items from warehouse inventory (picking) and placing them into a shipping container (packing) before sending them to the end customer. It sits at the heart of every direct-to-consumer and B2B order operation.
When a customer places an order on your Shopify store, Amazon listing, or other sales channel, the order is automatically transmitted to our warehouse management system. A pick ticket is generated, a warehouse associate or automated system locates each item in the facility, scans the barcode to confirm the correct SKU and quantity, then brings the items to the packing station. There, the order is packed to your specification, standard poly mailer, corrugated box, custom branded packaging, or anything in between, and a carrier label is applied.
